A lot of the writings here are motivated by a question - “how can we accelerate progress in science and technology?” If you are interested in progress studies and metascience please consider subscribing. Other major topics of interest include AI and regulatory policy. There may a few random posts as well as I end up going down various rabbit holes.

The name “More is Different” comes from the title of an 1972 article in Science by the condensed matter physicist and Nobel laureate Philip W. Anderson. The article is about emergence and the hierarchical nature of scientific knowledge. Part of my PhD research explored emergent phenomena that occur in the hydrogen bonding dynamics of liquid water.

I have a Medium where I will plan to write on more personal topics:

There is an option to pay a monthly or yearly subscription but right now it does not confer any extra benefits. However if you do pay it will send a strong signal to me that you are deriving value from my work and will motivate me to write more.
